What Is Project 2:2?
It's Biblical Basis
This is a Special IMpact Project of International Missions, INC (IM) located in Antioch, TN. It has a twofold purpose: (1) to execute an effective, expandable, and easily repeatable evangelistic program using 40 chronological, biblical narrations from Creation to the Second Coming of our Lord; and, (2) to train faithful believers to train others, who in turn will be able to train others!
Phase 1 of the project included translating the book, The Story of God and Man into French; and although scheduled to be held only in Cote d'Ivoire, it will now reach five African countries including Togo, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. We will be in May and June 2026.
Phase 2 has already begun with the translation of the book into Spanish and will focus on countries such as Mexico, Panama, Cuba and several in South America.
Phase 3 will also include developing discipleship training materials to help new converts as well as other believers. This phase will include a series of approximately 60 dialogues on the Life of Christ and then a follow up series on the book of Acts. Then we will begin work on a series of nearly 150 narrations for an Old and New Testament Survey course. We also have plans to adapt the narrations for pastoral messages, Sunday School, a children's Bible story book, and for use as curriculum is Christian schools and colleges.
The project is based on two key passages. The first is the Great Commission found in Luke 24:44-49. We almost always focus on verses 46-48 that detail the gospel message and the power we receive to proclaim that message to all nations. Unfortunately, we all too often skip over the two previous verses where Jesus said, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.” (ASV)
From those verses it should be easily concluded that to fully understand and appreciate who Jesus is and why He came, a person needs to have an understanding of the Old Testament: how the Mosaic Laws, the prophets, and the Psalms are all fulfilled in Christ. That’s why the first commitment of Project 2:2 is to provide that solid foundation for faith, not only for accepting Jesus as Savior, but for following Him in discipleship.
Our second commitment is to follow the exhortation of 2 Timothy 2:2. “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” It is this verse that that has led us to develop a teaching strategy that incorporates both discipleship and evangelism into one program.
Taken together, these biblical verses have combined to become the namesake of the program, Project 2-2 -- Evangelistic Narrations.
Ultimately, our prayer and efforts are dedicated to making this training methodology and evangelistic material availability to as many churches and Christian institutions as possible. There is no doctrinal bias in them so they can be used by all believers committed to evangelism and discipleship. For as long as the Lord gives Steve and I breath, our lives will be dedicated to this effort. For more information about Project 2-2, please email us at evangelisticnarrations@gmail.com.
